
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION

    The here described tools are not neccessary for system administration, but
    they will help you to manage administrative jobs on your system. I put
    some monitors, tools and deamons here.
    
    apmd		- Advanced Power Management Deamon
    cron		- run jobs at given time or periods
    e2fsprogs		- ext2 filesystem progs like fsck, mke2fs
    gkrellm		- a pluggable system monitor for GNOME
    gps			- GNOME version of ps, showing running processes
    gtop		- GNOME version of top, showing current system load, 
			  CPU-usage
    
    bootmanager:
        grub		- our prefered bootmanager
	lilo		- the standard one

    mc			- midnight commander, a Norton Commander(tm) clone
