Short Documentation:

When the install system boots, the init process checks if the file
/etc/setup.sh exists and if so it starts it directly on the console
before setting up the terminals. Normally this setup script will install
and configure everything and reboot after that. If the setup script
ends, the normal bootup procedure will continue as usual and ask the
user for the names of the tty devices.

For more information please read the shell scripts.
